The local FE team have provided an update on the decision regarding the removal of #BroadwellDips
💬
‘’Forestry England have taken steps to remove part of the dips due to antisocial and safety concerns.
We know the dips are much loved and have been used over many years by local children and adults alike, however we have seen an increasing amount of anti-social behaviour, from motorbikes riding the jumps, graffiti on the grading signage, litter and deliberate starting of fires.
We have made numerous attempts to make the jumps safe, install signage to improve peoples knowledge of the jumps grading, engage with youngsters about safety and the importance of the woodland the dips sit within. However the issues continue and we have made the very difficult decision to remove the constructed jumps and focus our resources in creating and improving the cycling offer we have at the cycle centre. Over the last 12 months a number of new jump lines have been built at the centre, to provide trails that are safe and accessible.’’
